Jinfeng Lou, Shambhavi Jilkar, Zijie Liang, and Gina Im, led by Prof. Pingbo Tang, presented HMHI’s work on human–AI collaboration in water systems and infrastructure operations in changing environments. The project is supported by the Carnegie Bosch Institute, with special thanks to Dr. Yuxin Zhang for the collaboration.

Pengkun’s bridge inspection research was featured by the Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center. The project uses VR simulation and AI to improve training and consistency in bridge inspections, addressing infrastructure safety challenges.

Seongeun Park Awarded the Chishiki AI Fellowship
Seongeun was awarded the Chishiki AI Fellowship in Civil Engineering, hosted by UT Austin with support from NSF and CII. Her research explores how AI can capture and share tacit knowledge from experienced workers to improve trust in training and decision-making.

Miaosi Dong, Joonsun Hwang and Prof. Pingbo Tang participated in the 2025 Manufacturing PA Innovation Program Expo, hosted by Harrisburg University of Science & Technology. The event, supported by the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development, brought together faculty, students, and industry partners to showcase emerging technologies in Pennsylvania manufacturing. HMHI Lab presented ongoing research on integrating AI and human intelligence to enhance workforce development and process optimization in HVAC manufacturing systems.
